Mr and Mrs Williams celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their home 910 South Massachusetts street with a large reception and elaborate six oclock dinner. Guests included numerous family friends from Maplewood and nearby towns. Gifts ranged from a morocco bound Bible to gold and silver tableware as well as other keepsakes. The couple married July 31 1851 in Newburg Indiana and have lived in the area for decades.
