The Missouri case asks whether a dog that entered a home qualifies as burglary rather than trespass. Albert Badger shot an English fox hound valued at $150. fisher sues for damages and wins $20. The court debates whether dogs can commit burglary and whether killing a trespassing animal is justified. The appellate court will rule at the next term.
The Rawroads outlines Parsons based conductor P P Duffy of the Missouri Kansas and Texas railway will marry Mary Weatherby of Parsons on April 15. Duffy fought with the Twentieth Kansas under Funston and MacArthur at Manila was wounded in battle and spent two weeks in hospital.
E. H. Haney, now an American Express messenger on Katy trains Nos. 5 and 6, has moved his family from Sedalia to Parsons and will make this city his home. Haney operates from Parsons to Denison.
Ed O Reilly takes the timekeeper role at Katy Franklin Junction replacing C J Sedgwick who moves to Parsons shops to fill the vacancy created by C W Jaminet resignation. The changes shift staff at two facilities.

Insurance adjusters will oversee new wallpaper as smoke damaged the surviving paper. Listed attendees include Eva Lewis Mary Paden Winnie Davis Lillian Davis Winnie Foster Irene Kilgore and many others.
C H Redman a Green Ridge native who joined the Katy shops here last week married Miss Bettie Erdman from Green Ridge in this city last evening. The union surprised friends but was not an elopement and the couple now live at Price's Silver Moon on Ohio Street.

Thomas F. Gray a Sedalia lad who returned from the Philippines is rising in the army now serving as commissary sergeant for Company H Twentieth U S Regulars. He has spent three years in the Philippines and served in the Cuban campaign and will take a twenty day furlough in Sedalia.
A Wednesday night party at 1007 East Fifth Street hosted by aunt Mrs J E Nicholson celebrated Miss Hazel Lister of St Louis. Guests enjoyed games and music and the evening concluded with aPresentation or toast to the guest of honor.
The Sweet Springs flouring mills once a leading Central Missouri industry were entirely destroyed by a fire that started around 11 PM and burned until 2 AM. The loss is likely over $30,000 with only partial insurance, jeopardizing the town’s economy and the planned exhibition at the St. Louis World's Fair.
