Guy B. Higgins a Seattle Post-Intelligencer staffer for ten years died suddenly on a trail from the Sunset Mines to Sultan after suffering appendicitis during an annual vacation. Higgins collapsed at Sunset mine and died while his friend Hine carried him toward Sultan. Survived by his wife, he resided at 632 Broadway.
