Her hand was crushed between the lifeboat and ship while ensuring the child's safety. 423 aboard survived with no casualties. investigators from San Francisco begin probes.

Frank Callingham of Philadelphia a fireman aboard the Counsellor testified before the U S consul at Queenstown that the liner was torpedoed. The captain and crew were landed at Queenstown and reports say the ship was sunk with the crew slain, though details remain unclear. The Counsellor had sailed from Vancouver and Solon en route to Liverpool with barley.
The parade will leave the circus grounds at 10 30 a m travel down Second to Main then to First then up to Lenora where it will disband back at the grounds.
County Clerk Bil Sickels dismissed two deputies, A. N. Olson and Mrs. Laura Kurtz, after the crushing defeat of his picked candidate. Olson served 12 years and Kurtz several years before receiving notices revoking their commissions.

Sept. 15. Dr. G. H. Frankforter reports after an autopsy that small quantities of strychnine were found in Miss Danielson's stomach. The examination ruled out inorganic poisons and confirmed organic poisoning by strychnine. The report was made to E. L. Melin, who oversees Miss Danielson's estate.
Prosecutor Lundin awaits a St. Paul report by Dr. G H Frankforter Minnesota state chemist confirming strychnine in Miss Anna M Danielson's stomach before charging Percival V Allen with murder.
