J C Burnam of Northwest Dairy Co was found guilty by a jury in Judge Gay's court of selling milk with less than 3.25 percent fat. Burnam plans an immediate appeal to the supreme court on the claim that individual corporate officers cannot be punished for a corporation's acts. Deputy Prosecutor White quipped that if you want to sell poor milk go in corporate. The judge refused to dismiss the case and the jury deliberated.

Burglar Misses Jewels After Ransacking Home

Mrs Alfred McRae returns from a theatre party to find a burglar had ransacked the New York area home of her wealthy merchant husband. He took several hundred dollars of silver plate but left $5 000 in jewels exposed in a bedroom jewel box.
