Sept. 12 The president spent a quiet night and ate a light breakfast with beef tea toast coffee and whisky. Doctors reported he felt better this morning and took some solid food. A bulletin noted pulse 120 temperature 100.3 and that visitors remain excluded from the Milburn residence.
Buffalo officials signal possible early release for Emma Goldman and other anarchists held in Chicago. Secretary Root says state authorities will pursue the case. extradition papers not yet prepared and evidence linking Goldman to the crime remains unclear.
