Charles McLachlan Found Dead in Elliott Bay

Police say initial exam suggests death by his own action though some foul play indicators exist. Edward Sherwood, a confectioner, identified him and cited despondency after job loss as a probable cause. He was last employed by American Can Co and was seen by L H Marshall, an electrician there, who recalled McLachlan saying he sought a chain to drown himself.
