Peach Prices Rise Amid Local Market Shortage
A surprise shortage of peaches in the local market Friday pushed prices up five cents. Two to three days of Eastern Washington weather reduced shipments to Seattle, with expectations of resumed flow once the cold ends. Delaware grapes were also on sale, quoted at $1.50 per basket for lace or 30 cents for baskets, today at $2.75.
