Four inspectors using lookouts tracked George H. Coonce city distributing clerk as he pocketed thirty letters. Coonce confessed stealing letters last July when a raise failed to arrive. He admits taking more than $1,000 in cash, burning letters money orders and checks at his home. Authorities had traced widespread letter losses for months.
