Proposed British government wireless chain links world ports
London reports a plan for an all government owned wireless network around the globe with centers from Oxford to Cairo and Singapore to Montreal. Estimated initial cost near 6 million dollars with annual losses about 0.5 million, to be shared between the Imperial government and Dominions. The scheme would aid navy communications and mercantile marine security while keeping ships in touch with home ports.
