Woman Shot Boy and Self After Trouble at Home
Leo G. Pratt a 19 year old bank clerk was shot and killed by Mrs Edwin Sobel then she killed herself Friday afternoon at the Canadian Bank of Commerce. Pratt said Sobel and his wife had warned his son after an interview about Mrs Sobels relationship with William Matthews a Cowen Park jitney driver. Matthews had talked to Pratt about the affair and Pratt fired him last Saturday. Sobel was planning a divorce action.

Woman killed by car as horn alarms crossing street
Mrs. Hartley D. Smith, 56, halted in the street at Second Ave and Stewart Friday and was fatally struck by a car driven by Mrs. Charles W. Hart. Smith, returning from 1415 East Olivest, died instantly. Hart told police she sounded the horn as a precaution. she was released on her own recognizance.
