Cook plans Alaska expedition to repeat summit records
Dr. Frederick A. Cook tells United Press in Cleveland he will lead an expedition to Mount McKinley early next spring to recover the records he says he left on the summit. He estimates two months to arrange, three more to reach Alaska and complete the mission, then plans to focus entirely on preparation and cancel lectures. He says he will not stake the polar dispute on the McKinley records, hoping the journey will silence detractors.
