Henry R. Cole a Sunnyside rancher died after an accidental shotgun discharge while hunting with George Kane of Seattle. Cole crossed a ditch Kane jumped and the gun fired striking the thigh tearing a vein and an artery.

A San Francisco officer tried to arrest a great Dane named Zip. In the struggle the officer tore his trousers, and Zip grabbed the revolver and fled. The incident concluded without injury.
A hunter's stray bullet fragmented in Martin Lawrence's pocket in Glendale Oregon. Doctors are removing small bullets from his legs as officials investigate the incident.
Firefighters were called yesterday afternoon at 4:45 to extinguish a small blaze caused by a motor burnout at the Palace Cafe on Washington and Occidental. Soon after engine No. 10 returned, it rushed out again as its own furnace ignited, filling the station with smoke.
