Carl Mayers, driver for Prye Bruhn Meat, drove a heavily loaded wagon into North Pacific No. 343 at E 39th Street and Brooklyn Ave in Seattle. The wagon was destroyed, one horse shot, Mayers seriously injured with internal injuries and a deep temple gash, later moved to Seattle General Hospital. Conductor H Tiernan aided him before medical evacuation.
Pat Prior challenged Fred Whitman for a dime on Washington Street that night. Whitman refused, sparking a brief exchange and a scramble in which Whitman came away with a bum lamp. Judge Gordon set the matter at ten dollars.

In Colfax on October 12 the state rested after three witnesses testified in the murder case against 18 year old James Roberts. Deputy Sheriff L L Roberts recounted Roberts confession at arrest as the case closed with three witnesses.
James Olson wandered into a neighboring flat after a night of drinking. Mrs. Annie Duffy reported the incident and police said force was used to move him out. Judge Gordon imposed a fifty dollar fine today.
City police will not pursue the Wallace dynamiting link until guidance arrives from Los Angeles. Wallace was arrested tearing a letter from John Murray, guarded words hint at the case, and he remains in close confinement under Chief Ahern.
Edward Ryan hired Mrs. Florence Edwards as housekeeper and found her gone with a $50 purse and her 6 year old daughter Myrtle. He reported to police and Humane Officers took the child into care while officers search for Mrs. Edwards.
