Fire breaks out at Shaw's Pharmacy. fireproof claim tested

Fire erupts on the first floor of Shaw's Pharmacy in the American Hank building sending spectators, streetcars, and fire engines into a frenzy. A clerk's match and gasoline bottle ignite the blaze, destroying $10,000 in European Christmas novelties while firemen under Chief Hringhurat and Assistant Clark extinguish the flames.

Admiral Dewey Defends Navy Against Submarine Criticism
