Roseburg Oregon November 29 Yesterday Ev erard Jurgins and Fred Foster two young men were arrested as the highwaymen who held up the stowe at Drain last Saturday They were caught at the Jurgins farm nine miles from Roseburg by Sheriff Quine A marked five dollar gold piece taken from C A Ricker a passenger during the hold up was found in their possession.
A. J. Baker, a Segundo school teacher who has posed as a man for months, is held in the county jail's women’s quarters on serious charges brought by several local schoolboys. The suspect is described as a woman masquerading in male attire.
