Fay Bartram, 63, Corona Apartment resident, was saved from Elliott Bay after attempting suicide. At City Hospital she drew a hatpin from her hat and stabbed herself near the heart. Her son L J Bartram reported her disappearance and mental decline.
Dr Lee Hong a Chinatown physician escaped an assassination attempt by four Suey Sing tongmen who broke into his home at 321 Fourth Ave N. Mrs Lee Hong thwarted them by alarm and police pursued suspects. Investigators guarded Chinatown to prevent renewed tong warfare.
In Los Angeles on November 24 thirteen speed kings race to outdistance Old Kid Hoodoo in a 50 mile international championship on the Beverly track. Gates opened at 10 30 a m for a record crowd as the event is electrically timed by C H Warner speedometer king. A motor polo exhibition precedes the race with Ford cars sacrificed for public amusement.
PORT HURON Mich Nov 24 two cars plunged through an open drawbridge drowning two women Mrs A M Gerrie and Mrs G B Minne and injuring or threatening two others who escaped.

Body sent to Bonney-Watson mortuary. In Houston five people injured in a collision near College Station while en route to a football game.
