A Seattle aviator, C. W. Bandy aged 41, disappeared after his plane was forced down during a blinding storm off Jefferson Head Hubbard Beattle. He and companion Hubbard left Hubbard for a hunting trip to Dungeness and never reached Seattle. Rescue launches search the Sound for Bandy while only a damaged pontoon remains from the craft. Bandy is secretary treasurer and salesman for Gould Lumber Co and lives with his wife Irene M. Bandy at 420 place.
Eddie Hubbard, a veteran pilot famed for daring, never had a serious accident before. On October 15, 1919, he launched the first international air mail route from Seattle to Victoria with a perfect safety record and about ten round trips monthly. He formerly flew for Boeing, then left to operate the mail service.
Three pass key thieves raided homes on Lame tona avenue fend street and Corlissave road, stealing jewelry including a baby’s bank worth 40 dollars, a gold necklace, beads, turquoise necklace, a cameo ring, a pearl bracelet, 15 dollars, a strand of pearls, a cloth, and three gold rings. No injuries reported.
