George Butchard, a Redmond logger, was found dead near McKay's saloon with throat cut. Investigators say a drunken night led to a robbery murder. seven men were jailed, with T. O. Johnson identified as the accused killer. Johnson, Toris, and Arenson are held at the county jail as coroner orders the body moved to Renney-Watson parlors.

Proprietor G W Tenney and patrons William Belmont and Charles Rice were ordered to the wall as $20 was taken from the till. Brown escaped through a rear door and the robbers fired again as he fled. He later reached Georgetown where Marshal Johnson organized a posse to pursue the criminals.
In 1904 Kirkland residents clash with County Commissioners over licensing and incorporation. George Barsich sought a ferry license for John A. Perry, drawing protests and a $200 fee. Petitioners seek town status, needing 300–1,500 residents and 60 voters, but 24 acres unplatted blocks progress. A second survey gains 74 voters, yet officials question revival rules as they push the case toward the Page Seven continuation.
A dentist in the Oriental Building staged a live tooth transplant as a stunt. A young woman lost a tooth after a dental extraction in a chair, then the tooth was humorously transplanted into another patient’s mouth. The donor received payment, turning the gag into a paid “tooth for a tooth.”
R A Nicholson fell from a speeding hotel bus after hitting a chuckhole. He sues the city of Seattle for 1550 dollars seeking recompense for facial injuries. Judge Albertson presides. Ray McDonald remains in hospital with hopeful recovery.
An engineer at the Rainier apartments found Friday a large mass of cotton with blood stains in the yard behind the building. A six inch blood smeared knife lay inside the mass and was burned by the engineer. Police offered a probable bandage explanation but gave no confirmation.
Reports from St Petersburg dated November 21 indicate a persistent rumor that M Witte is seriously ill, with details not officially confirmed.
At 11 o'clock Tuesday the jury reported a hung verdict in the State case against Ed Duffy and Elsie Miller for allegedly rolling and robbing Harry Eagleson. The ballot was eight for acquittal and four for conviction.
