Old Story Told in Defense Trial For Mike Bartlett

Attorney Shipley opened the defense for Mike Bartlett in a wife murder case recounting a long tale of Bartlett and his wife's alleged faithlessness, a trusting friend Lynch who swindled Bartlett of $12,000, and Bartlett's alleged insanity. The narrative traced Bartlett's life from youth to Alaska and his marriage, followed by alleged entanglements and ultimately a fatal shooting. Ed Hartlett testified on the defense's side as rebuttal began after the prosecution's early case.
