Harry Walton the Seattle Brewing and Malting Company cashier married just hours before his arrest for embezzling about 20000. He confesses, claims others benefited, and a bond arrangement gives two days to settle with the company as Riordan and Leigh face arrest.
Susie Walton and Lee Meiner moved from prior marriages to wed yesterday after both had been divorced earlier in 1904. Court records show Walton divorced Susie for cruelty in February 1904 and Meiner divorced Sadie for quick temper in February 1904. Friends say the four formerly involved formed a four party social circle and rumors of romance followed, before Detective Barbee exposed the remarriage.
