San Francisco November 9 Postmaster Arthur G Fisk issues a warning to all post office clerks against accepting clearing house certificates or checks in money order transactions. The order cites section 977 of laws and regulations prohibiting non legal tender media, except national bank notes and silver certificates, as payment. Officials say the measure aims to prevent recognizing such certificates as government legal tender.
