Golf Club Gala Fetes All Hallows Eve With Four Hundred Guests

A lavish Halloween party at the Golf Club drew over four hundred guests in a harvest decor filled lounge. Mayors, consuls, and numerous local figures attended the festive dinner with two orchestras and yellow mums at the center of the tables. Guests included Hugh M Caldwell E T Stannard Carleton Hulskamp and many others. The event featured elaborate decorations and a second performance at the theater.

Handsaker Hosts Chaney Halloween Party for 100 Children

Mrs J F Handsaker of Rainier valley entertained about one hundred youngsters at a Halloween party on Saturday. Invitations started a chain of inviting friends with a motto reward for good behavior. The home was decorated with pumpkins grown on the Handsaker place as about thirty children helped carve jack o lanterns. Games stories pranks and refreshments followed, and the children left with smiles promising to return at Christmas.

The Alpha Phi Eta Beta fraternity held a dancing party Friday night at the Ben Lomond apartments. About two hundred fifty couples attended the lively event.

MacDougall-Southwick Halloween Party Draws Big Crowd

About 350 guests attended MacDougall-Southwick's Halloween celebration at the Knights of Columbus hall on Wednesday October 27. Vaudeville and dancing featured acts by H O Price and Jack Polk from the Palace Hip circuit, Leone Butler and Mrs A Butler gave a Delphi priestess booth, with orange and black decors and a Halloween buffet.
