Four Girls Choose Eligible Bachelors After Game

Chicago May 31 Four young women won equal numbers of prizes as eligible bachelors in a Wednesday night game. Before completion, the courting men pledged to marry the winner they chose. Winners Amanda Smith Rebecca Levy Marie Endicott Gretchen Kretchmer selected Joseph Ritchie Dr Edwin K Bennington Othor Line Daniel J O Leary, with each man agreeing to marry the corresponding winner.

Portland Boy Mayor Campaign Opens Weeklong Primary

Portland initiates a unique political campaign to elect a Boy Mayor and council for one week in mid June to fund the Boys Home and Club House. The two stage primary runs May 24 to June 6 with each vote costing one cent, no limit per boy, no repeats allowed. The council will be chosen from top candidates and operate a mock city government.
