Seattle reporters Lowell Mellett Andrew J Eldred and Abe Hurwitz will cover Washington state convention angles. Robert Satterfield leads cartoons with first pictures by The Star photographers. The Memorial day parade along First avenue and Priest drew Seattie’s largest crowd, despite drizzle. Veterans of multiple wars led by Col. G. Philadelphia defeats New York 5 to 1 after scoring five runs in the eighth inning. Al Demaree, once with the Giants, held the team to a single run as Perritt helped push the Phillies ahead. The game marked the end of the Giants long winning streak amid scattered box scores from other matchups.
