One Killed in Wreck Near Marengo on Milwaukee Line
An engineer is believed dead and a fireman perhaps fatally injured in a wreck of the Columbian passenger train on the Milwaukee Road three miles west of Marengo at 4:46 this morning. One baggage man and four waiters are badly hurt. the smoker and day coach left the tracks while the tourist sleeper was derailed. Conductor Johnson reported no passengers seriously hurt and the all steel train prevented heavier loss. Relief trains were sent from Malden. Hibard cautions full details not yet received.
