Readers submit ideas on streetcar fares amid proposed zone rates. Proposals include 10 cent round trips for workers, ticket books sold by employers, and limiting transfers to cut costs. Some urge keeping five cents with taxation to cover deficits, others advocate higher fares to fund operations.
An older pamphlet style piece asserts the heart's constant work and blood flow, arguing heart strength relies on stomach digestion. It promotes Dr Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery as a cure for stomach and digestion related causes of heart weakness and as a direct heart tonic.
