Hunt Spies In U S Who Told Of Fleet Trip
Washington May 26 The government pursues a major spy hunt across all agencies to find who tipped Germany that the torpedo destroyer fleet left American shores. Censorship is strict at coast offices and border points as reports persist of hidden wireless networks and possible German agents in Mexico or Central America. Officials say Germany and Britain knew the fleet story before the American public, while newspaper men had advance confidence but violated no voluntary rules.
