Gospels Found in Egypt Change Resurrection Tale
The Times reports the first detailed account of a Cairo discovered Gospel manuscript purchased by Charles L. Freer. Now in Washington, the text offers ancient versions of Christ’s death and a James version style addition noting a corrupted passage after Mark 16. It suggests an early alternate ending to the Passion narrative.
