Winifred Shaughnessy Hudnut bride of Rudolph Valentino arrived Cedar Rapids by the Continental Limited from Chicago and planned to go to New York. She refused to speak to reporters saying she did not want to be annoyed. In a letter written on the train she said everything will come out all right and she will be with Rudolph Valentino shortly. She added she would be with her husband soon after reaching New York.
Dancing newsgirls from downtown arrive at Seattle newsstands Monday noon to sell The Seattle Star to raise funds for the $25,000 Veterans of Foreign Wars and unemployed veterans convention expenses. The entertainers include Ruth Smith, Dorothy Dix, Edna Evans, Dorothy Carter, Edna Lokke, Beaste Johnson, and Marian Knowles.
