Smugglers Sentenced In Opium Case At Vancouver

Judge Hanford sentenced two confessed smugglers T Smith and John Mc Callum to ten months in the penitentiary and $100 fines each. Lou Long Hay, tried alongside, pleaded not guilty. Smith was nabbed entering Vancouver from Canada with a large opium stash. McCallum, a repeat offender, was arrested previously for opium disposal.
