Seattle Street Car Combine Plans Big City Franchise

A Boston syndicate led by C. A. Stone and L. J. Webster plans to buy Seattle rail lines including the Anies Trunk, First Avenue Cable, Seattle Traction, Madison Avenue Cable, West Street Electric, and Third Avenue Suburban. Drowned at Sitka Marine Seaman Alfred Wood Reported

Alfred F. E. Wood of Mankato Kansas a member of marine services was drowned near Sitka on April 28 after a boat capsized during a ride. His companion E Hodgden survived clinging to the boat and was rescued by Indiane while Wood was swept away by the heavy sea.
