Tacoma on May 6 heard a warrant issued for Alburtus a hypnotist accused of torturing 18 year old Ashford on stage. The act involved hot pins pierced through tongue cheeks ear jaw and arm as the audience watched in shock. Ashford claims no trance and plans civil suit seeking 50 per pin.
Figures for Calgary's city owned system in March show gross earnings 11,639.11 with expenses 3,856.69 and 22,816.25 in total. Net earnings amount to 7,320.45, equal to 32 percent of gross. The data suggests a profitable outlook for municipal ownership.
