Tacoma to Hold Another Election
Tacoma May 3 no candidate for any of the four commissioner ships won a majority so another election will be held May 16 with the two leaders in each race in the finals. Only 69 percent of registered voters cast ballots, 15 000 to 21 711 in the mayoralty recall two weeks earlier. Finalists include L. W. Rapa FH. Pettit public works Owen Woods W. E. Clayton finance Ray F. Freeland Frank M. Lamborn left and water Hen J Weeks Nicholas Lawson A. T. Barth socialist candidate for police narrowly missed second place by about 300 votes.
