Mochizuki $35 plus license loss, R. P. Oldham $82 bail for racing at 63 mph on EK Marginal Way at 2 a.m. Sunday and failed to appear, bench warrant issued. W. B. Martin had $33 bail forfeited and a failure to appear on speeding 38 mph charges.
The city council chamber opens Tuesday evening to women wishing to hear the election returns. Robert B. Hesketh, president of the council, announces the event which will accommodate over 200 people.
Tokyo May 2 The Japanese cabinet led by Premier Takahashi resigned today to permit a partial reorganization. The Takahashi group formed after Hara's assassination and faced frequent Diet attacks, with end of ministry anticipated as opposition pressed Sei Yu Kali party leadership from power.
Alfred H. Lundin, chair of the citizens committee against the Erickson street car plan, predicts defeat of the measure if the full vote is cast. He says Erickson forces are well organized and that support will reach 100 percent of the community backing.

William Randolph Hearst plans to seek the democratic nomination for New York governor this fall. The New York World reports a formal announcement will come soon with campaign headquarters to open in New York City.
Senate finance committee Republicans tentatively approve a soldier bonus bill to be sent to President Harding. The plan modifies the house bill by issuing 20 year certificates with a loan value of 50 percent now, rising to 80 percent in three years, then 75 percent of the increased face value after six years, and cash or annuity options at 20 years. It includes vocational training and home and farm aid options while dropping the reclamation plan.
On March 4 Mrs Sonia J Evans 35 and her husband William Evans quarrelled at 4607 Ferdinand St Evans left his wife and she went to Tacoma where she married Frank Lembo alias Antonio Lambo an Italian who cannot speak English In a justice court complaint Mrs Evans is charged with bigamy With her new husband Mrs Evans now Lembo is said to have bought a grocery store at 24th Ave and Norman St after selling community property valued at 1300 dollars
After a nationwide manhunt, Seattle police arrest Harry Illitz, 44, owner of the Bohemian kosher restaurant at 1019 Third Ave., on grand larceny charges. Illitz posted $1,500 bail in Justice C. C. Dalton's court. Detectives H. M. Barton and C. L. Toms made the arrest. He is accused of passing bogus checks in 1916 totaling about $1,600.
A 63 year old man named J P Montgomery told Police Judge John B Gordon he wished to avoid jail to retrieve his $73 worth false teeth drying in water. The judge suspended sentence until Montgomery finds his teeth with a quip that a man cannot live on soup alone.
Washington May 2 Representative Amsorge New York Republican introduced two joint resolutions to lift the ban on 2.75 percent beer and permit its manufacture under government control. One resolution asks for a national referendum this fall on light wines and beer with each state choosing its option.
Irish republican army mutineers invaded Kilkenny city seizing key sites including Kilkenny Castle the city hall the Bank of Ireland the cathedral and the workhouse. The action marks a dramatic armed intrusion into the historic county town.
When he confessed he could not pay a taxi bill, William Murray aged 22 was arrested.
Shanghai dispatch reports Wu Pei Fu's army suffered over 1000 deaths as Chang Tsin Lo forces encircled them west of Peking. Wu Pei Fu HQ cites superior artillery and Japanese shelling as factors in the setback. Fresh attacks were launched along the northern front.
White House states President Harding will not be influenced by picketing or demonstrations. If protests surround the White House he would likely lean backwards on granting clemency to political prisoners.
