Patrolman W H Waller was suspended for five days by Acting Chief Ward for alleged incompetence in the arrest of Hamioes and Jack Kanner in a pink collar crime. The pair, a prizefighter and a tailor, were discharged for insufficient evidence. bail was withdrawn and the docket struck. Waller admitted failing to obtain adequate evidence and to consult superiors first.
