New Railway Chief Began as Motorman in Seattle
Henderson rises from motorman to general superintendent and now heads Seattle's municipal streetcar system. Born in Booland and moving to the United States at age eight, he piloted a street car in 1902 for Puget Sound Traction and later became transportation superintendent before his appointment as head of the city railway system.

Nauman Loses His Job at City Hall
Ben F. Nauman assistant city boiler inspector was discharged Tuesday. His position in the building department will be abolished if the council acts on Building Superintendent J A Johnson’s recommendation. Nauman had run for city council last election and was defeated by John E. Carrell. In February 1919 he chaired the general strike committee. The services of F E Towne were likewise dispensed with.
