Washington March 22 Samuel Gom closeted with labor leaders to prepare a memorial propaganda that outlines problems raised yesterday. The document is to be presented to the president Senator Frye and Speaker Cannon as part of the effort.
The statehood bill was pulled from the table amid a heated effort to have Oklahoma governed under a new regime. A parliamentary delay stalled the debate on its merits as J Adam Bede of Minneapolis mocked the process and urged passage. Republicans McLachlan Needham Sruth Hayes Oitlett Preneh Hermann Howell joined Democrats in voting at various stages.
Washington reports the Senate Commerce Committee recommended a 206000 appropriation for an ocean going life saving tug for the North Pacific coast and a life saving station near Neah Bay. The Ninth Avenue and Dexter Avenue Improvement Club met to review regrade plans for those streets and City Engineer Dimmock presented maps. Councilman Crichton attended the meeting.
Water users in the Third district may pay their rent with no 50 cent delinquency penalty if paid by the due date. Delinquency begins on April 1 with the 50 cent penalty applying thereafter. About one third of Third district users have not yet paid this month. The district covers the city area north of Galer and East Galer streets.
In Los Angeles on March 22 the will of former Canadian Pacific railway chief engineer Dennie Le Dae was filed. His daughter Mrs. Robert Billiott of Denver contests the will alleging fraud and undue influence by actress Loucille Gilbert Seils.

Isadore Snyder was jailed this morning in the county jail by Deputy Sheriff Joe Cameron after Snyder fled to Spokane following a board bill dispute at the Paxton hotel. He faces prosecution under a state law making defrauding an innkeeper a crime.
The Butte Mineral Union in Montana responds to Thomas Lawson accusing wage cuts and copper stockpiles. It defends wage scales of 20 years and the Amalgamated Copper company, says Lawson aims to depress property values for stock jobbing schemes, and asserts the union’s confidence in current management.
Beattie newspaper notes Northern Pacific official J A Nadeau is courted to become Seattle chamber of commerce general manager with a salaried post. If he declines, plan aims to hire a successor, with J B Meikle resigning as secretary and Brandell remaining until a replacement is found.
Frank P. Mullen tells The Star he will not fight the election contest for councilmen at large. He says Dew should pursue the seat if the court grants it, easing his own burden and trouble. Reports suggest Dow may win over Hurd, with recounts possible to show Mullen ahead of Hurd.
James Sheehan of 2nd Ave reports sharp savings from the city lighting plant. He notes bills fell from 80 to 40 per month after construction and predicts further reductions as the plant gains volume. In Waukegan Illinois on March 22 Salvatore Pilos and Salvatore Grexiano were sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering three fellow workers at a Winthrop Harbor railroad camp last fall. The men planned to kill six in a box car while asleep but three escaped wounded. Corrine Mitchell sues George Mitchell for divorce alleging non support and desertion.
Frank Woods, a leading figure on the Pacific Crest bill-raising ring, was sentenced to 10 years in San Quentin by Judge De Haven. Fellow gang members Irwin Butler John Adama and Fred Grey await trial on the same charge.
Lis, March 22 Haron George Sykes an English man living alone near this city was found dead this morning with a bullet in his brain and the appearances indicate murder.
Judge Griffin ruled the county cannot appropriate funds for a state armory and overruled the county commissioners demurrer in the test case. The Western avenue property belongs to the state, and unless the state supreme court reverses, no armory can be built for the National Guard in time for the 1007 Christian Endeavor convention. The case goes to the supreme court immediately.
Reporter describes an attempted assassination of Sheriff Angus Rutherland by Hanna in Wallace. Rutherland was shot in the neck but not fatally wounded. Hanna was overpowered and disarmed after a desperate encounter amid high excitement while escaping a writ of restitution tied to railroad land.
In Chicago on March 22 Judge Humphrey freed packing industry leaders who may face contempt of court for violating Judge Grana cups injunction restraining Sherman act violations. Attorney Morrison weighs re indicting individual packers as a new step.
Sixty representatives of the commercial organizations of Washington arrived by a special train at the Del Monte hotel in Monterey California. They took the famous 17 mile drive, returned for luncheon, and departed this afternoon for Los Angeles.
John Corgiat as administrator of Bernardino Cappuci’s estate brings salt against Fred Marino Company. He asks a receiver for the market gardening institution and land south of the city. He alleges directors Francesco Caparbo and Nicola Dizernua fail to protect Cappuci’s rights as owner of 21 and a fraction shares.
The first state convention of county game wardens met in the Kitel building to back uniform game laws and stronger enforcement. They plan a formal organization with 16 counties represented and will push resolutions to the legislative committee for winter passage.
A saloon keeper, James Rheehan, supports Mayor Moore’s crack down on slot machines and gambling. He says enforcement levels the field with compliant rivals and warns that lax laws invite outside pressures and further illegal activity. He claims a decade and seven years in the business without gambling, urging all licensees to comply.

In San Francisco on March 22 after ten minutes of proceedings Mrs Mary A Huntington was divorced from Henry E Huntington nephew of late Collis P Huntington. No community property and no settlement requested. Four children are involved and the parties plan a property division out of court. Mrs Huntington then left to take passage on the Korea for Japan.
A superior court jury awarded Christ Losnes $15000 after he was injured in the railroad yards while repairing cars. The Great Northern Railway company indicated an appeal from the verdict. The Lake Washington Telephone company began laying a Kirkland to Redmond line with poles erected and many holes dug.
Deeds filed in the county courthouse transfer property formerly owned by Seattle Lighting Co. to Mrs BE H Jessup for 1 200 000 dollars. The land, bounded by Fifth and Sixth streets south and Jackson and a streets, covers four lots forming a block north of Jackson and aims to host a Union Pacific passenger depot. The Star reported the sale weeks ago.
In Indianapolis March 22 an unnamed operator claims miner operators cannot reach any agreement. A motion to adjourn was made in a joint session with the scale committee, but the meeting recessed with a deadlock. A later session suggested a vote might occur and a presidential intervention could follow if a strike happens as operators hand the matter to a sub scale committee.
