Robbery at Bons Harnesses Office on Waters Avenue

Thieves broke into the safe at Duncan Bons harnessmakers 902 Waters avenue during lunch hour between 12 20 and 1 pm. They opened the cash drawer removed all money and left an unendorsed check. A hammer was found behind the safe as police chief Delaney conducts the investigation.

Two New Liners for Canadian Pacific to Enter Atlantic Service

The Canadian Pacific Railway plans two giant steamers built by Fairfield Glasgow to join the Atlantic run by spring 1906. Each 550 feet long, 65 feet beam, and about 14 500 tons, they will be the largest to visit the St Lawrence waters and can carry 206 first class, 360 second class, and 759 to 1 000 steerage passengers with high speed aims toward strict on time sailing. They will connect Liverpool to Quebec in about six and a half days and Queenstown to Rimouski in around five and a half days.

Anna Krin, a German girl from Ellensburg, traveled five miles with a legal habeas corpus finding to reclaim her four week old baby from the Washington Children's Home. After a night of trouble and a delay in communication, she confronted the foster family, was allowed to see the child, and returned with the infant to the McCumber home where she was warmly received.
