Edwin Lord, an elderly man linked to prominent financiers Andrew Carnegie J P Morgan and John W Gates, died after being scalded in his bath at a Republican aid room. Authorities initially hid details but later released the facts of the death.
In Los Angeles on March 21 Judge Rose gave T Catteral a 20 day jail term with suspended sentence for attempting suicide and not securing a firearm license within city limits. Catteral shot himself in the right shoulder yesterday after a quarrel with a girl. Yankton prepares for the golden anniversary of Dakota territory in June.
