7AR S Crusade Against Cigarettes Gains Momentum
I pledge to prevent any young man I accompany from smoking and to discourage the habit among my contacts. I seek membership in The Star anti cigarette league and support a per cent drop in sales of store bought cigarettes. The Crusade notes fewer cigarettes on the streets, with many youths still smoking pipes or brand new cigars. Ballard and Riverton girls send in support and Christian Endeavor leagues join the effort.
