The 69th coast artillery battalion arrived by special train at Seattle’s Oregon-Wa ington station at 10 40 a m and received a rousing crowd reception. Families, students and civic leaders cheered as soldiers transferred baggage for a Camp Lewis departure and then led a noon parade to the Masonic temple, with a banquet and ball planned at the Armory and a return trip to Camp Lewis next morning. Red Cross canteen served apples oranges nuts and sweets to the veterans.
