Silver Hatchet Buried After Woodmont Spite Fence Skirmish
In Milford Connecticut on March 2 a burying ceremony took place at Woodmont in the home of J A Roberge. Mrs Walter F Bradley a leading Woodmont property owner presented a silver hatchet to Chariea H Holton Warden of the borough who used it to remove the first board from a fence Mrs Bradley had built around a private park following legal disputes over her cow Hortense Loulee. The hatchet was then buried.
