Maupin Dominates as McCiskey Loses 7 1
Honest John McCiskey and his hitters were stifled at Athletic Park as Herry Maupin delivered a double swing on the slab. The San Francisco visitors were held to one run through eight innings before a ninth inning error by McNichol allowed two more. Glendon pitched a straight ball with control, while Treadway, Drennan, Rabbitt and Stanley produced key hits to chase the game. Care receipts were turned over to Mayor Humes for flood relief. Weather kept the crowd small, and the score stood 7 to 1.
