American Socialists at Stockholm Push Peace Aims

The American socialist delegates at the German called conference present a plan for a union of free nationalities to rebuild war torn nations and disarm after the war. They urge no annexations or indemnities and call for referendums over territories including Alsace Lorraine and Poland, restoration of Belgium Serbia and other regions, and the creation of an international league to enforce peace with broader labor movement support. They insist peace talks be led by elected delegates of the people, not government representatives, and stress balanced arms coordination among infantry artillery and aviation.
