Kidnapper Caught After Elopement Bid
Walla Walla June 24 United Press reports a man identified as Pierce and a 14 year old girl were arrested on the O R & N train while allegedly eloping from Walla Walla to Pendleton. The girl, employed at the Parke hotel in Wattsburg, was seized by her mother. Pierce was locked up after the arrest while nearly $40 was found on him.
