Elmer M. Curtiss age 23 son of Elmer Curtiss 1021 KE died of wounds received in France after joining the select service October 4 1917 from Seattle. He was buried with military honors in a French graveyard a wooden cross marking his resting place. His father a sister and a brother Her bert Curtiss at Ames shipyard survive.
