Taxi Plunges From Bridge Near Boston No Fatalities
A large limousine taxi owned by George C. Stephens narrowly escaped catastrophe when it crashed through a railing on the Neponset River bridge near Quincy. Driven by Stephens’s son with two passengers aboard, the car hung by a wheel before dropping 20 feet, all three occupants escaping with injuries and later being treated. An ambulance arrived. the vehicle was severely damaged.

Bird Teeth Found in Western Kansas Fossil Find
In Lawrence Kansas Prof HM T Martin curator at the university museum unearthed a Cretaceous bird tooth specimen from chalk beds in western Kansas. The Hesperornis fossil, five feet long with no wings, provides the most complete evidence of semi plumaceous covering and dates to about 26 million years ago. The find, the second oldest known bird type, is key to understanding ancient marine birds similar to penguins.
