They expect to reach California in October.
Edward M. Filion Camp Lewis soldier was found guilty of murdering taxi driver Kar a Timba in Tacoma with a rock. Jury of six men six women recommended life imprisonment though a misstep delayed final sentencing. Filion showed no emotion while others cried as verdicts were read.
Seattle park board delays final action on the Woodland park concession tied to the Lewis-Lester company. The 10-year contract, already awarded but unsigned, would require $2,500 yearly payments and a $15,000 structure, with city termination rights for profiteering concerns.
Robt E Anderson sues the Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul railway and James C Davis director general for 50000 in superior court claiming loss of his right leg left foot and eyesight after a fall from a train at Aberdeen North Dakota in June 1918. He alleges a porter warned the train would stay but it pulled away as he alighted.
Orders for unconditional release of 19 I. W. W. prisoners, largely from Kansas, serving terms in Leavenworth federal penitentiary, were received by Fred Robertson, federal district attorney for Kansas, from Attorney General Daugherty.
W S Dulmage president of Dulmage Motor Co 925 Pike St Seattle was arrested on two grand jury indictments for making false corporation income tax returns and subornation of perjury. Co defendants K S Dulmage and A D Anderson not charged in this indictment. Bail set at 3500 each. June 30 federal court appearance.

Henry Finch and the Finch Co divers will use a submarine sled like the patrolmen, needed due to soft mud at the lake bottom. A specially built sled aids quicker work.
