Fire at Interbay destroys Western Furniture plant
A blaze at the Western Furniture plant in Interbay completely destroyed a two story frame building 50 by 100 feet. Firefighters found the fire between 12:15 and 12:20. Loss is estimated at 27000 dollars with 12000 tied to the furniture firm. Patrolman on horseback was hurt when his revolver caught on the saddle and bullet struck his hip and abdomen. The plant collapse followed an earlier incident where a cottage owned by railroad executive W K Staley burned with damages totaling 900 dollars.
